Abstract:
The presentation deals with Competitive Intelligence as a process of legal retrieval, work, analyse and evaluation of information about competitors to obtain competitive advantage and reduce risk during business process. After the definition of basic terms of Competitive Intelligence and its classification in strategic planning process of the company, the
presentation deals with the position of this discipline in the company Chemosvit a.s., its place in the organisation structure, describing the activities and used tools of Competitive Intelligence in consideration of the work with information sources of the company.
About author:
Peter Ovšanka finished his bachelor study in management on Catholic University in Ružomberok in 2006. At the moment he is continuing with magisterial study in management on the same university. Since September 2006 he has been working as information analyst in Strategic Information Department of the holding company Chemosvit, a.s.
